Terms & Privacy

The terms for using Wayboard and how we handle your data.
Last updated: September 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Wayboard account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.

2. Your account and workspace

You are responsible for the people you invite to your workspace and for keeping your sign-in details safe. Workspace owners can add, remove and change the role of any member or guest at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use Wayboard to store unlawful content, to send spam, or to probe, overload or disrupt the service. We may suspend a workspace that puts other customers at risk.

4. Payment, plans and refunds

Paid plans renew automatically on a monthly or yearly cycle depending on your selection at checkout. You may request a full refund within 14 days of any payment; refunds after that window are granted at our discretion.

5. Your content

Projects, tasks, notes and files you add to Wayboard belong to you. You grant us only the rights we need to store, display and back up that content in order to run the service.

6. Availability

We aim for 99.9% monthly uptime and publish incidents on our status page. The service is otherwise provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wayboard is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including lost revenue or data.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced by email to workspace owners at least 14 days before taking effect.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and billing details needed to process payment. We also collect basic usage data (pages visited and features used) to understand which features teams rely on.

2. How we use your information

Your information is used to provide the account and support you've purchased, to send billing and product update notices, and to improve Wayboard based on aggregate usage patterns.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Our marketing site uses a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

4. Data sharing and third parties

We share billing information with our payment processor solely to complete transactions. We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not share your data for third-party advertising purposes.

5. Data retention and security

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward for legal and accounting purposes. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to staff who need it to provide support.

6. Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us through the Contact page.

7. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be communicated by email.

8. Contact us

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@wayboard.co or through the Contact page.
